RCIA

The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) is a program designed to welcome adult people into our Catholic community as fully initiated members of the Roman Catholic Church.

RCIA at St Francis Church

If you know someone-a spouse, relative, friend, neighbor who might be interested in becoming a Catholic, or is a Catholic but has not received all the sacraments of initiation, please let them know that our parish will be starting a Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) program.  Before we formally begin the RCIA program, we will hold an information night for all interested.

If you or anyone you know may be interested in joining the RCIA program or if you would like further information please contact Pat Lefoley at plefoley1@cox.net or 401-339-3858.  You may also call the parish office at 401-783-4411.

RCIA classes are generally held  throughout the Fall, Winter, and early Spring, and culminate in catechumens (those not Baptized) and candidates (Catholics that have not completed the Three Sacraments of Initiation and people from other Christian denominations who have been validly baptized) being received into the Church at the Easter Vigil.
