The Social Outreach Committee was founded in 1998 for the purpose of making the parish family more consciously aware of the poor in our midst, – physically, emotionally and spiritually. The committee oversees the food and commodities donations that come into the church and takes them to the Jonnycake Center and/or Welcome House weekly. Social Outreach organizes the annual ‘Baby Shower’ and welcoming receptions for families new to the parish. Many social agencies are the recipients of the donations that come in from the ‘Baby Shower’ and support for those families who have chosen life.
The committee meets on the first Tuesday of the month at 7:00PM in Fr. Greenan Parish Center.
We keep track of those who have died and follow up after an appropriate time with phone calls, visits, and ongoing referrals and contacts when requested.
We are not called to do great things, only small things with great love.
